Irkutsk citizen tried to commit suicide after positive COVID test

A resident of Irkutsk tried to commit suicide after he learned that he had passed a positive test for coronavirus infection. Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Irkutsk Region Valentina Voblikova at a meeting of the deputy headquarters of the regional legislative assembly.

“A few days ago, a patient was admitted with a stab wound to the heart. He found out that he had a coronavirus, and thus he decided to “cure” him, - said Voblikova and stressed that the surgeons managed to save the man. She did not elaborate on the details of his current state.

In the Irkutsk region on July 15, 10.88 thousand cases of coronavirus infection were recorded. Almost 6.5 thousand patients recovered, 152 people died, 67 of them from other diseases.
